This camera is at the high-end of the point-and-shoot digital cameras category. It is ideal for photographers who are becoming serious in their work, but are not yet ready for the hassles of carrying around lenses and other expensive equipment with them. Finepix offers considerable zoom capabilities, up to 14.3x optical, and impressive image stabilization. The stabilization works well, allowing the photographer to take the best possible photographs even in poor lighting conditions. Fujifilm has also included an face-recognition function that automatically reduces red-eye problems when taking photographs of people, which is a great added bonus.Finepix Without ever having to worry about changing lenses, the Finepix offers a wide-angle setting, also with great quality results. The lens is specially designed to prevent dirt and dust from entering, keeping picture quality in this camera perfect. Where this digital camera excels is in the places most cameras, especially of the point-and-shoot variety, fails. Photographs taken at night, in uneven lighting, of fast-moving subjects, are simply extraordinary compared to all cameras in the price range. If your subjects are always perfectly backlit and standing still, perhaps the price of this camera is not worth it for you. But if you are a photographer who takes photographs of a wide variety of subjects, this is arguably the best point-and-click camera you can purchase. |
